The Finders

This strange case captivated my attention back in the late 80s/early 90s (and there are echoes of it in Blackwater Lights). It's about as creepy as it gets, with hints of blood rituals (a sacrificed goat), mind-control, cult practices, and potential abuse and global trafficking of children. Oh, yes, the CIA was involved as well. Is this a whole lot of nothing or just the tip of something very deep and dark?

And here is the Dept. of the Treasury investigation report (PDF) that concludes no further action needed to be taken because the activities of The Finders had become a "CIA internal manner."
